Below please find the biographies of the many contributors to the StressStop line of products.


David Katz, M.D., MPH

David KatzDr. David Katz is director of Yale University's Prevention Research Center and Director of the Integrative Medicine Center at Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT. Dr. Katz is also a medical consultant for ABC News and has appeared on Good Morning America, 20/20 and World News Tonight. He writes a weekly column for the New York Times Syndicate, a monthly health column for Oprah Magazine, and is on the board of advisors of Prevention Magazine. He narrates our New Stress Management DVD Series including Recognizing StressManaging Stress, Resilience: Mastering Stress, Stress, Weight Control, and Emotional Eating, and Yoga at Work.


Stuart McCalley, M.D.

Stuart McCalley Dr. Stuart McCalley who is the narrator of four films, and three CD’s is Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Yale Medical School. He is also the Director of the Sleep Center at Greenwich Hospital a division of Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. McCalley serves as narrator on many of our relaxation CD’s and DVDs including our all time best selling CD, A Day Away From Stress, and our newest CD, Overcoming Insomnia.


Paul Rosch, M.D.

Paul Rosch Dr. Rosch has acted as the medical advisor on almost all of our content from the new Stress Management Video Series to the stress assessment The Stress Profiler. He is president of the American Institute of Stress and Clinical Professor of Medicine and Psychiatry at New York Medical College. He writes a monthly newsletter on Health and Stress. He has appeared as a guest expert on numerous national TV programs, including 60 Minutes, The Today Show, Good Morning America, Nova, CBS, NBC, PBS, BBC and CBC network presentations. His editorials and comments have been published in major medical journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine, Annals of Internal Medicine, Journal of The American Medical Association, British Medical Journal and The Lancet. He has been interviewed and widely quoted in Time, Fortune, Newsweek, The Reader's Digest, The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today, The Washington Post, The London Times, and numerous other publications here and abroad.

Dr. Juko Holiday

Dr. Holiday is the founder and director of Water Touching Earth  Wellness Group and The Care Forest Project, both located in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California. She has a BA, International Relations Brown University, MA, Clinical Psychology Antioch University, Ph.D., Transpersonal Psychology, Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. She specializes in working with people who are living with low moods, stress, trauma, and loss.  

Joan Borysenko, Ph.D.

Joan Borysenko Dr. Borysenko who narrates our relaxation video and CD, Relaxing Through The Seasons (CD | DVD) was co-founder (with Dr. Herbert Benson) and former Director of the Mind-Body Clinic now located at the Beth Israel/Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She is also the author of many books including classic New York Times bestseller on stress Minding the Body, Mending the Mind.

Dr. Borysenko's has appeared on Oprah, Sally Jesse Raphael and Good Morning America. Her work has been featured in U.S. News and World Report, the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Reader's Digest, Success, Bottom Line, The Leifer Report, American Health, Shape, Glamour, Vogue, Ladies Home Journal, Living Fit, Success, Yoga Journal, New Age Journal, and many other magazines and newspapers.


Loretta LaRoche

Loretta LaRoche Loretta LaRoche, who appears in our training film Laughing at Stress, is an international stress management and humor consultant whose wit, and irreverent humor, has, for over 30 years raised the humor potential in all of us. She is on the Mass General advisory council for anxiety and depression and was recently awarded the National Humor Treasure Award. LoRoche is well-recognized as keynote speaker across the United States. Her clients include IBM, The New York Times, Fidelity Investments, Microsoft, the U.S. Dept. of Labor, and NASA. She has had six one-woman television specials air on 80 PBS stations across the country. She has been nominated for local and prime time Emmy Awards, has appeared on CNN, ABC and NBC affiliates. She has authored 6 books, The Joy Journal, Happy Talk, Relax: You May Only Have a Few Minutes Left, Life is Not a Stress Rehearsal and, Life Is Short- Wear Your Party Pants, Squeeze the Day and her latest book Kick Up Heels Before You're Too Short to Wear Them.


Peter Rabinowitz, M.D

Peter Rabinowitz Dr. Rabinowitz is associate professor of medicine in The Yale Occupational and Environmental Medicine Program at Yale University School of Medicine and was recently quoted in Oprah Magazine. Dr Rabinowitz is our Medical Advisor on the video Well, Well, Well, and for the training kit Wellness Works.



James Porter, M.A.L.S.

James Porter James E. Porter is the founder and president of which, along with its parent company Audio Vision, has been producing stress management training materials for over 20 years. Mr. James Porter has written, produced, directed and edited over a twenty videos on stress management and has written hundreds of articles, workbooks and audio programs on stress management as well. His stress management films have won many awards including first and second place awards from The International Medical Film Festival, The American Journal of Nursing Media Festival and The BioMedical Film Festival. His films are shown on a daily basis over closed-circuit TV and Video on demand systems in thousands of hospitals nationwide including The Mayo Clinic, The Cleveland Clinic, Mass General Hospital and The Columbia-Cornell Medical Center.

Mr. James Porter is also a speaker on stress management. He has presented seminars on stress management at West Point and for The FBI, The Navy, The Department of Homeland Security, The American Heart Association, The International Stress Management Association and at Time Life Headquarters in NYC. His work has been reported on in a wide variety of national media including Good Morning America, PM Magazine, Ladies Home Journal, The Daily News, The Dallas Morning News and in such medical Journals as The Journal of Bio-communication and the Journal of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation and The Journal of Family Practice. He is currently a fellow of The American Institute of Stress.
