How do biodots help people reduce stress?

ANSWER: As a rudimentary biofeedback device, biodots give you biological feedback about what’s going on inside your body. The information, or feedback that it gives you let’s you know whether your efforts have been successful. Say you were trying to meditate as a way of lowering stress. At the end of the twenty minute meditation period, how would you know whether your meditation had actually worked to help you relax? If you were wearing a biodot, and it had turned from black to blue you’d know that the temperature just beneath the surface of your skin had increased and (by deduction) you would know that your capillaries had opened up, that the blood flow had improved and that you had activated the relaxation response. That’s how biodots help people to reduce stress. By giving you feedback on internal functions of the body that you can’t detect in any other way.


How does relaxation music help me relieve stress? 

ANSWER: "Music influences respiratory rate, blood pressure, stomach contractions, and the level of stress hormones in the blood," according to David Sobel, M.D. Director of Preventive Medicine at Kaiser Permenente, the world's Largest HMO. "Slow, quiet non-vocal music generally lowers bodily reactions to stress while faster music heightens alertness and arousal."

Is there any medical research on relaxation music?

ANSWER: Yes. "When music is played before, during or after surgery, it has been found to reduce anxiety, lessen pain, reduce the need for pre and post-operative medication and speed recovery. In one study, when music was piped into an operating room throughout surgery, the amount of sedative required by patients was cut in half." - From Healthy Pleasures by Dr. Robert Ornstein and David Sobel, M.D.


What's the difference between the "cheap stress balls" and the higher priced versions?

ANSWER: If you didn't have a higher priced ball in your hand at the same time to compare it to, you probably wouldn't know the difference between the cheaper ball and the more expensive one. But if you did, you'd see the discount stress ball is not as shiny and as a result, the colors of the discount balls are not as intense. If you know about paint, it's kind of like the difference between high gloss paint (more expensive ball) and a low gloss, satin finish (the discount ball). The logos show up a little bit better on the high quality balls too. Feel free to request a sample to see the difference for yourself.

Can I order just a few stress balls without my logo on it?

ANSWER: Yes we can ship you any quantity under the minimum order quantity as long as you don't need your logo printed on them.

What do I do about artwork on stress balls?

ANSWER: Artwork for these balls should be minimal. The space you have to work with is about one and 1/2 inch in diameter. The trouble is, sometimes the type gets distorted by the shape of the ball, which is why, when it comes to stress ball art: less is more. Email your artwork to and we'll mail you back a proof that shows you how the artwork will look on the ball when you get it back. After your approval we'll go ahead and print it. We can help you create rounded type. $50 set up fee.

Return shipping costs will be the responsibility of the customer. We recommend that you use a trackable method to mail your return.  

You will receive your refund or replacement product within 7 – 10 days after we receive the merchandise. Refunds might take 1-2 billing cycles to post to your credit card statement, depending on your bank. We will notify you by email when your return has been processed.

We will refund the cost of the merchandise and the shipping if the return is a result or our error or defective product.

The Gift of Relaxation is a seasonal care package curated by the wellness and stress management experts at StressStop. Each themed box features fun self-care goodies to pamper yourself, plus effective resources that will help reduce stress, boost your immune system, and lift your mood.

How does it work?

There are two subscription plans available for you to choose, Annual or Seasonal. Signing up for the Annual Plan also unlocks a self-care course with additional stress management resources sent right to your inbox each month. Either subscription can be canceled at any time, but we encourage you to maintain your membership as each box is cultivated around a seasonal theme to bring you self-care and stress management tools when you most need them.

What if I subscribe and then cancel right away?

Once you subscribe your account is immediately charged either the full discounted subscription price or for the first box. If you cancel right away, you will not receive a box. If you cancel because you have changed your mind and wish to be refunded and have not receive a box, you must email us immediately at and request a refund via email, as refunds must be manually processed. Refunds will be issued if you email us directly requesting a refund for your order or subscription within 48 hours.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel by logging onto your account and clicking "cancel". If you need any assistance, email us at and we're happy to help!

What if I received a damaged item?

We will gladly send you a complimentary replacement if your product arrives damaged or defective. Please email us at and attach required photo evidence of any damages/defects within 14 days of receipt of the box. Please ensure you send us photos of: 1) The outside condition of the box upon delivery 2) The damaged item showing evident damage/leakage 3) A picture of the inside of the box you received. Our team will gladly ship you any replacements for damaged items ASAP after receiving these photos! You may be required to return the damaged goods in order for us to process the claim. We will gladly provide a shipping label if that is the case.

What if my account has insufficient funds when I subscribe or when I am re-billed?

If your card is declined for insufficient funds or is expired during your subscription, you will receive an email asking to update your credit card information. StressStop will automatically keep trying up to 10 times over the course of 11 days to fulfill your subscription. If you do not update within that time, you will receive a cancellation email. There is no shipping until billing is successful, so you will not receive a box. Please ensure your credit card information is up to date. StressStop is not responsible for any overdraft charges from banks or credit cards.

How long does it take to receive my box?

Your Gift of Relaxation will arrive quarterly. We ship January, May, August, and October. Subscriptions that have paid in full will ship first. Please ensure your address is correct at check-out, as StressStop is not responsible for shipments lost due to incorrect addresses. If you move during the subscription, please log onto your account to update your address. If a box is returned to us due to invalid address, you may be responsible for the new shipping and handling fee of $8.95 to reship the package.

How will this appear on my credit card statement?

Since The Gift of Relaxation is curated by the stress management and relaxation experts at, the charge will appear as SP*StressStop.
